The Tri-State Dance Festival is the annual summer event where dancers of all levels come to experience the best of the New York Salsa, Bachata, and Hustle Dance scenes.
Located just outside Manhattan, each year Tri-State boasts and incredible line up of performers, instructors, and social dancers from the New York area and beyond. It’s also home to the prestigious Tri- State Dance Championship, a two-day competitive event with almost 200 categories, and an entire segment for young dancers and emerging talent.
Building upon the legacy Lou Lopez left during his 15 years of running the CT Salsa Festival, Tri-State prides itself on creating an environment that feels truly welcoming and inclusive. Whether this is your very first dance congress experience, or your 100th, here you will feel part of our community because you are.
With inspiring performances and master workshops, themed nightly dance parties, and an iconic Saturday Night After Party, Tri-State Dance Fest truly has something for everyone. Come discover the magic of dance during an unforgettable weekend experience.

TRi-State Dance Championships
Come participate in the biggest Latin Dance competition in the North East!
Our two-day competition features around 70 categories for competitors, in genres including Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, and Latin Hustle, and for for dancers of all different levels including Youth, Amateur, Pro-Ams, and Professional.
Showcases take place Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Heated divisions take place Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Our Commitment to Safety
Tri-State Dance Fest and Huracan Dance Entertainment are dedicated to creating a safe, respectful environment for all attendees. We have zero tolerance for harassment, unwanted advances, or inappropriate behavior of any kind. In addition to responding immediately to reports of misconduct at our event, every member of our team—including Hired Artists, Staff, Volunteers, and Organizers—are required to complete our safety training, Respect in Motion, prior to participating in our event.
All attendees are also required to read and sing our Code of Conduct Agreement.
Event passes
Night Pass
This pass is for those that only want to attend ONE NIGHT. This includes Shows and Social only.
Party Pass
If you are looking to attend all three nights this is the pass for you. This includes Shows and Socials only for Friday-Sunday
Single Day Pass
Want to attend one full day? This pass will cover one full day of the event. This pass includes Workshops, shows, Social for one Specific day. (Either Friday, or Saturday or Sunday). (Does not include Friday Bootcamp)
Full Pass
Want to attend the whole event? This pass includes Workshops, Shows, and Socials. (Does not include Bootcamp)
